Advantage Benefits
Advantage provides broader protection than basic plans, including up to $10,000 trip cancellation, $12,500 trip interruption, and $1,000 travel delay if something goes wrong with your trip for an eligible reason. Advantage also offers up to $50,000 emergency medical expense, $250,000 emergency medical evacuation, and $20,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage, which comes in handy especially in international destinations, where your U.S. health insurance likely won’t apply. If your luggage or other personal belongings are lost, stolen, or damaged, Advantage can provide up to $1,000 in coverage. It also provides $200 coverage for baggage delay. Plus, like Travelex’s other plans, Advantage includes 24/7 travel assistance and access to Travelex’s Travel On app.
Advantage Optional Upgrades
Travelex’s Advantage plan offers six optional upgrades: rental car damage, adventure activities, accidental death for air travel, pet care, rental property security deposit, and additional baggage. After you select the Advantage plan, you can choose your upgrades on the next screen during the quote process.
Advantage Limitations
There are state of residence and destination limitations for Travelex’s upgrades, so be sure to check the policy for details before purchasing. Unlike the Ultimate plan, Advantage does not offer kids-included pricing, coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, or trip inconvenience coverage.
