The Worldwide Trip Protector Plan by Travel Insured International is a comprehensive travel insurance package for trips lasting 180 days or less. Children of policy holders are covered at no extra cost, and coverage for preexisting medical conditions is available if the customer purchases their plan within 21 days of making their deposit. Other benefits include reimbursement for pet care and 24/7 emergency assistance. Worldwide Trip Protector Plan Benefits
Customers are eligible for 100 percent reimbursement up to $10,000 if a trip gets cancelled or interrupted due to covered reasons such as terrorism, natural disasters, traffic accidents, hospitalization of a host, unexpected pregnancy, school year extensions or supplier default. They are also eligible for up to $250 to cover airline change fees for new tickets.
If the customer misses a connecting flight and has to buy a new ticket, they may qualify for a $500 reimbursement. For travel delays greater than six hours, travelers are entitled to $200 per day to cover unexpected expenses.
Medical expenses are covered up to $100,000 excluding a $50 deductible, and $1,000,000 is available to pay for expenses in an emergency evacuation. Lost bags are covered up to $250 per person with a maximum of $1,000 total, and baggage delays of 12 or more hours entitle travelers up to $300 to buy necessities.
Worldwide Trip Protector Plan Optional Upgrades
For only $7 per day, customers can purchase $50,000 in collision coverage for rental vehicles. Other upgrades include additional coverage for lost luggage, medical costs and expenses resulting from travel delays and missed connections. Flight-only AD&D is also available for an extra charge. Worldwide Trip Protector Plan Limitations
