RoamRight Preferred Plan
The RoamRight Preferred plan is a mid-level trip insurance option that features several coverage choices for customization. With this travel insurance plan, you’ll have trip cancellation insurance, travel medical benefits and baggage protection.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Exclusion Waiver
The Preferred plan comes with a pre-existing medical conditions exclusion waiver. In most cases, if you wind up filing a claim, the insurance company can review your past medical records to determine your coverage eligibility based on whether you became ill due to a pre-existing condition. With the waiver, the insurance company will not take this action, so any condition that arises while you’re traveling will be covered. You will have to qualify for the waiver. Special Plan Features
For each adult that’s covered under the RoamRight Preferred plan, one child is also covered at no additional cost as long as the child is under the age of 18. This plan comes with accidental death and dismemberment coverage. In addition, if an unexpected situation interrupts your trip, then the plan will reimburse up to 150 percent of the trip’s cost.
Under this plan, you can purchase an upgrade that provides coverage for any cancellation reason, also known as “cancel for any reason”. The upgrade is only available within 21 days of placing your initial deposit for the trip. By purchasing the added coverage, you can make your travel plans without worrying that you’ll lose your investment if a life situation requires you to cancel.

Baggage Protection
With the RoamRight Preferred plan, you’ll receive baggage loss protection for up to $1,000. You’ll also receive reimbursement for delayed luggage. The maximum amount under this part of the policy is $300 when your bags are missing for more than 12 hours.
Coverage for Inconveniences
With the Preferred plan, if you miss a connection or experience an itinerary change, you’ll receive a fund reimbursement for $500 when the interruption is at least three hours. For a delay, you can receive $200 for each day of the postponement. This part of the policy has a limit of $1,000.
