How the Recent Travel Ban Might Affect Your Travels

Seasoned travelers know the importance of having trip insurance for themselves and their traveling companions. Leisure and business related travel is often booked far in advance for vacation time, conferences and convention activities. Protesters on both sides of the issue clogged airport space, lawyers joined the fray and security measures were put in place. Commuters en-route to depart domestic or international flights missed their flights, as they sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic on approach to airports without relief.

Taking out sufficient trip insurance is the best way to save yourself airline and other travel related fees. Reservations that need to be changed or canceled at the last minute are nothing new. Airlines, hotels and automobile rental companies clearly state that they may charge cancellation fees. However, the coverage granted by travel insurance allows travelers to recoup these fees in the easiest and most painless way possible if their policy covers them for trip cancellation, trip interruption, missed connections and travel delays.

If you are traveling with a passport issued by a foreign country, travel to the United States can be jeopardized at any time. Likewise if you hold an American passport, any already scheduled flight set to depart or arrive on U.S. soil can face setbacks.
